Pioneering flight to Mannheim

Mannheim, December 5, 2025– Today at 5:30 p.m., aFlyViniaircraftlanded atCity Airport Mannheim for the first time. The arrival of the plane from Berlin marks an important milestone for regional aviation and also marks the official start ofPioneer Flight Week in February, during which innovative on-demand flight services will be presented.

At a small welcome event at the airport,Dirk Eggert, Managing Director of City Airport Mannheim, andTomislav Lang, Managing Director of FlyVini GmbH (FlyV), welcomed the pilot and his guests."Today's landing sends a clear signal for the future of regional mobility," explained Dirk Eggert. "On-demand flightscreate new opportunities for business and private travelers and strengthen Mannheim as a location in the long term." Tomislav Lang also sees the premiere as an important step: "FlyV shows what flexible, digital, and efficient air transport concepts could look like in the future. Mannheim is an ideal partner for us in establishing this new form of travel in everyday life." Today's landing is seen as a further building block in the expansion of the regional aviation infrastructure. It willimproveCity Airport Mannheim'sconnections to supraregional economic and technology locations. Additional flights will take place during the pioneering flight week in February.
